Executive Headteacher's Welcome

Wembley High is an exceptional place to learn. We provide a supportive, enriching environment in which students thrive, driven by our vision of “Achievement for All”. We fundamentally believe that every child has an entitlement to an exceptional education, regardless of background. Our curriculum is crafted to provide academic excellence and educational breadth, preparing our learners for the future. It is delivered by subject specialist teachers, who innovate and hone their craft to provide an enriching learning environment in every lesson. As a result, our students achieve to an exceptional level, and progress on to the very best universities in the country.

Academic outcomes unlock the door to success for our students. We are one of the highest performing schools in the country and have so been for many years. In in 2019, our Progress 8 score of +1.58 was recognised as the 4th highest in the country and the highest in London by the Department for Education. Throughout the pandemic, pupils at Wembley High have continued to excel. In summer 2021, 54% of A level exams were awarded A*/A grades and over 55% of our pupils gained places at prestigious Russell Group Universities, such as Imperial, UCL, Kings and the LSE. We are delighted to have five students studying at Oxbridge this year, and five starting courses in medicine/dentistry. At GCSE, 96% of our pupils achieved grades 9 – 4 in English and maths GCSEs and 65% of exams sat were awarded grades 9 – 7.

Spiritual, moral, social and cultural education sits alongside academic excellence at the heart of the school’s ethos. We offer a broad and ever-expanding range of extra-curricular activities to deepen and enhance learning, preparing our students to be the leaders of tomorrow.

WHTC confirmed as Outstanding by Ofsted

We are delighted to share WHTC’s latest Ofsted report in which the school was once again confirmed by Ofsted inspectors as an “Outstanding” school. Whilst a grade alone cannot define the exceptional work which underpins our school, we are immensely proud of our pupils and staff in achieving this recognition. We are also extremely grateful for the support of families and the trust and confidence you place in us. Wembley High selected to become a Teaching School Hub

Wembley High Technology College is one the 87 schools in England selected to be designated as a new Teaching School Hub. The College has been selected to provide high-quality professional development to teachers and leaders. For more information click here. London Mayor Celebrates Wembley High's Success Yet Again

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has celebrated the exceptional performance of Wembley High Technology College as part of his Schools for Success programme. The school has been honoured for its commitment to reducing educational inequality and attaining exceptional results for children previously struggling academically. The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “I’d like to congratulate the staff of Wembley High Technology College for their exceptional work. We created Schools for Success to recognise the positive impact that teachers, headteachers, teaching assistants, support staff and governors are making every day to support students and reduce inequalities, and this school’s commitment to being supportive and inclusive sets a great example. Covid-19 has presented unforeseen challenges across our city but Wembley High Technology College has done a fantastic job in maintaining excellence during a very difficult time. Working together we can make sure that no young Londoner is left behind” Created in 2017, the Schools for Success programme was formed to enhance the support given to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The programme acknowledges primary and secondary schools that prioritise progress for their lowest attaining pupils, are excelling in their performance overall and sharing their work with other schools through a series of webinars made available to all London schools. London Mayor Celebrates Wembley High's Success

Outstanding achievements of Wembley High Technology College recognised by the Mayor of London The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has celebrated the outstanding performance of Wembley High Technology College in Brent with an awards ceremony. The school was honoured for its work to reduce educational inequality and achieve exceptional results for children who were previously behind in their studies, at a Schools for Success awards ceremony. Wembley High Technology College has been recognised for its outstanding academic success and the progress pupils make from primary school to GCSE. The Schools for Success programme was created by the Mayor in 2017 to improve the support given to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The programme recognises primary and secondary schools that ensure strong progress for their lowest attaining pupils, has a strong overall performance and shares their work with other schools.  The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “I’d like to congratulate the staff of Wembley High Technology College for their excellent work.
